This unique volume centers on Vivaldi's finest compositions for flute solo and string orchestra--his complete Op. 10: Concerto No. 1 in F, "The Sea Tempest" (RV433); Concerto No. 2 in G minor, "Night" (RV439); Concerto No. 3 in D, "The Goldfinch" (RV428); Concerto No. 4 in G (RV435); Concerto No. 5 in F (RV434); and Concerto No. 6 in G (RV437). Linked to these works in this rare publication are closely related concertos for various combinations of other wind instruments with strings. This addition to any fine score library is enriched by the commentary and editorial notes prepared by Dr. Eleanor Selfridge-Field, a renowned scholar of the Italian Baroque.
